Terms and Conditions

The quotation is valid for 90 days.

Once the client accepts the quote, we will check with the Local Planning Authority whether the tree(s) are located within a conservation area or subject to a Tree Preservation Order and submit the relevant application.  This service is free of charge unless you decide, once the application has been made, not to proceed with the works with Twynam and Woods in which case an invoice for £100 will be raised.

Should the site conditions change between initial visit and the day we carry out the works, we reserve the right to revise the quotation.

Any additional works requested on the day will carry an additional charge to be agreed before the works are carried out.

Unless we have been provided with an exact plan of all services (such as pipes, vents, cables, wires) both above ground and underground, Twynam and Woods Ltd shall be under no liability for any damage caused as a result of work performed under the contract to such services or for any damage caused as a resulting there from.

Stump grinding will be to a depth of 250mm unless otherwise specified. This will include the buttress roots but not the lateral roots.

All measurements mentioned in any correspondence are approximate.

All arisings (including branches leaves, logs and trunks etc) will be removed from site and become the property of the contractor unless otherwise specified.

We make every effort to leave the site as tidy (and often tidier) than when we arrived.  However, due to the nature of the work (including the production of sawdust and heavy footfall) the site cannot always be left in the same condition as prior to the works.

All works will be carried out in accordance with BS3998 ‘Recommendations for Tree Work’ where appropriate and unless otherwise specified.

All works carried out by Twynam and Woods Ltd employers, are covered by public and product liability insurance of £5,000,000.

The responsibility for notifying neighbours of planned works lies with the client,  especially when pruning the over hanging branches of trees that do not belong to the client.  This includes the possibility of us entering their gardens to remove sawdust, branches etc.

The contractor must be notified of unsatisfactorily completed jobs immediately and within a maximum period of 24 hours.

Invoices to be paid in full within 14 days of invoice date.
